Annie Mae Goodwin, the daughter of the late Timothy White, Sr., and Lucky Mae White. She departed this life on April 1, 2022, at her residence. She was born November 17, 1947, in Orangeburg, SC.
She attended the public schools of Bowman, SC, Class of 1966. She later moved to Washington, DC to further her career., and retired after 47 plus years of working at the Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC. Annie Mae had a passion for traveling, especially going on cruises, going to church, and out to eat. She was a woman of her faith and always read her bible throughout the day.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Joyce Mae White; and four brothers, Wilson White, Earnest White, Timothy White, Jr., and Andrew White.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Derrick (Jaumoke) Adepegba and Anthony Goodwin; a granddaughter, Destini Gatling, all of Washington, DC; stepmother, Mildred White, of Santee, SC; one uncle, Wilson (Bessie) White, Sr.; and one aunt, Eva Lee White, both from Vance, SC; a brother, Henry (Wilma) White, of Bowman, SC; a sister Lillian (Rodney) Johnson, of Orangeburg, SC; three sisters-in-law, Rena White, of St. George, SC, Sandra E. White, of Bowman, SC, and Terry White, of Columbia, SC; one niece; and a host of nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
