Charles Miles Obituary

Charles Eugene Miles, affectionately known as “Little Mickey” & “NKB Astro”, was born on April 28, 2000, in Columbia, South Carolina to Charles Eugene Dawkins and Marie Miles.  He departed this life on February 1, 2022.

Charles was educated in the Richland County Public school system. Charles attended Richland-Northeast High school. Charles attended, was christened, and baptized at Round Top Baptist Church.

Charles was a very passionate and caring person. He really cared for his friends and loved his mother, as she loved him so very much. He enjoyed playing tee ball and baseball. He won a trophy for the most valuable player on his team when he was 5 years old.  He also was in modeling at an early age; he won a trophy for the prettiest eyes. Little Mickey loved fishing with his grandfather, Louis Miles, and his dad, Charles. He also loved to go swimming with his cousins every summer.  Charles also enjoyed playing Xbox and PlayStation. Charles favorite football team was the Washington Redskins.

As he got older, he developed a passion for making music. He was known as NKB Astro in the music industry. With hard work, dedication, and the expectation of becoming rich, NKB Astro created eight songs.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Clarence Miles; his grandfather, Adolphus Wicks; his great-grandmothers, Martha Patterson & Mary Lou Weeks, and his grandmother, Louvenia Dawkins-Wicks.

Charles leaves to cherish fond memories: his mother, Marie Miles; his father, Charles Eugene Dawkins; his sister, Emporia Kennedy-Miles; his brothers, Monte D. Lindsey & Kelvet Neal; his grandparents, Louis (Betty) Miles; his aunts, Ida (Andre) Hills, Wanda Wicks, Luwan Wicks; his uncles, Stephone Miles and Louis Miles, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Rest in Peace Little Mickey, you will truly be missed.
