Michael Jennings was born on November 9, 1975, in Orangeburg, SC. He was the son of Alvin Jones and Diane Jennings Purvis. He departed this life on February 28, 2022.
Michael was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg, South Carolina. He attended Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School. After high school, he attended Midlands Technical College studying Business Management. He obtained his CDL and was the owner and operator lessee to Hornady Transportation in Monroeville, AL. He lived out his dream of traveling and seeing the world.
In the finish free time, he enjoyed traveling, cooking out, Reggae music, the Miami Dolphins. He also enjoyed spending time with family especially his son, Omari.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John M. Jennings, Mattie L. Jennings, and Hercules Jones.
Mr. Michael Jennings leaves to mourn his passing: his wife, Anitra McManus Jennings; son, Omari Jennings; mother, Diane (William) Purvis; father, Alvin Jones; children, Mikeyla R. Holmes, Philijwaun M. Jennings, Davon M. Jennings, Devin M. Jennings, Dey’anna M. Jennings; brothers, Timothy Jennings and Quintin Jones; grandmother, Helen Jones; father-in-law, Warren (Sheila) Scott; brother-in-law, Warren (Shanta) Scott, Jr.; a special aunt, Gwendolyn Roberson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
