Ms. Rose Laverne Moorer Felder, daughter of Charlie and Willie L. Disher Moorer and stepdaughter of Daisy Miller Moorer, was born June 21, 1946 in Orangeburg, SC. She was educated in Orangeburg County public schools. Laverne was employed at General Cosmetic Dentistry of Dr. Samuel L. Lambert, DMD. At an early age Rose accepted the Lord as her personal Savior. She joined Shiloh Baptist Church, where she was a member of the choir. She was known and will be remembered for her big smile, friendly, being outspoken, and a loving mother. She was married to Leroy Felder, Jr. Their union welcomed seven children.
Rose was preceded in death by: her parents, Charlie and Willie L. Disher Moorer; stepmother, Daisy Miller; her husband, Leroy Felder, Jr.; her sisters, Loretha Moody, Barbara Disher, and Annie Moorer.
Rose will be deeply missed and leaves fond memories to be cherished by: her children, Vicent (Lynn)Felder, Vivian Felder, Rhonel F. Jones (Kenneth Lyles), Kerry (Kashima) Felder, Kevin (Gwendolyn) Felder, all of Orangeburg, SC, Shawn, Khayri Abdullah Muhammad, of Orange Park, FL, and Vanessa Felder of Orangeburg, SC.; her sisters, Ruby D. Fedrick and Annette M. Blocker; her brothers, Joseph (Francis) Moorer, of Holly Hill, SC and Jacob (Linda) Moorer, of Orangeburg, SC; sisters-in-law Katherine (Malachi) Waymer, Janie (Willie) Dash, Mary Felker, of Orangeburg, SC and Allene Edwards, of Freeport, NY; twenty-three grandchildren; thirteen greatgrandchildren; two devoted sons, Chad and Kyle Lanham; a devoted friend, Alfonzo Keitt, of Santee, SC; a host of nieces nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
