Samuel E Brown

Today, we celebrate the life of Samuel “Mickey” Ervin Brown.  He was born on April 10, 1960 in Charleston, SC to Samuel White and Mary Eva Brown Ford. 

Samuel was the oldest of seven children. He grew up learning the importance of God first, family, education, and the value of a good work ethic.

After graduation from high school, Mickey enlisted into the United States Army, where he served for thirteen years.  During his military career, he met and married Charlotte Brown. Their union was blessed with one child, Alexandra Allen.

Those who knew Sam knew the love he had for Michael Jackson and his vast body of work.  Mickey was hard working and always there to lend a hand to anyone in need.  He was employed by Western Express Trucking as a long-distance truck driver. 

A loving son, brother, father, and friend, Sam will be deeply missed.  He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel White.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Mary Eva Brown-(Marvin) Ford; daughter, Alexandra (Stanley) Allen, of Portland,OR; four brothers, Bruce (Pamela) Brown, of Charleston, SC, Abishai Thomas, of Columbia, SC, Isaiah Brown, of Wadmalaw, SC and Jerome Brown, of Columbia, SC; two sisters, Wanda (James) Johnson, of Columbia, SC and Tonya (Tonya) Boyd, of Columbia, SC;  his beloved nieces and nephews, Shanika, Nate and Joshua Brown, all of Charleston, SC; Joey Fernandez, of Miami, FL, Krystal Brown, of Columbia, SC; Tionna, C’Andra (Patrick), and Bryan Washington, all of Columbia, SC, D’Andra (John) Otasowie, of Atlanta, GA and Rasheda Washington, of Charleston, SC;  as well as a host of other loving relatives and caring friends
