Timothy Tate Obituary

Mr. Timothy Weonard Tate was born April 5th, 1985, in Columbia, South Carolina. He was the son of Timothy Tate and Caretta Demetrius Lucas.  He slipped away to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 23, 2022.

Timothy successfully obtained his GED and continued his education at Strayer University. Timothy was self-employed and an outstanding construction worker. Timothy will be remembered as a passionate son, brother, uncle, mentor, and friend.  He cherished spending time with his family. One of his favorite past times was watching foreign movies and learning different languages.  In his free time, he enjoyed mentoring younger kids in his neighborhood about the hardships of life and setting goals.  Timothy’s favorite football team was the Green Bay Packers.  He will truly be missed by his family and community.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Caretta Lucas.

Timothy leaves to cherish his precious memory and legacy: his significant other, Sigma Gordon; his father, Timothy Tate; children, Dominic King and Tayana Tate; sister, Avita Morgan; brothers, Andre Lucas, Landir Tate, and Christopher Robinson; aunts, Jacquline Reed, Avia West, Belinda Bell; uncle, Phillip Tate, Arnold Tate; nieces, Aubrey Morgan and Penelope Tate; nephews, Caleb Lucas, Trevor Wierbinski, Elisha Morgan, Mazear Lucas; and a host of other loving relatives and caring friends, all of whom will truly miss Timothy.
